The 2026 Emmys red carpet brought plenty of drama, glamour and, most importantly, incredible fashion. From sculptural gowns and nostalgic silhouettes to impeccably tailored tuxedos, this year’s looks proved that the smallest details can make the biggest impact.
Here are a few of our favourite looks from this year’s Emmys, and what made each one stand out.
Florence Pugh
Florence Pugh embraced full red-carpet glamour in a lilac Vivienne Westwood gown.
The off-the-shoulder design featured a structured corseted bodice and high-waisted A-line skirt with a cinched waist and dramatic train. A shimmering sequin overlay added subtle sparkle, while flowing sleeves and carefully placed ruching brought movement to the otherwise structured silhouette.
Pugh paired the gown with a pink-gold Bulgari statement necklace featuring delicate pink and green jewels and clusters of diamonds. The jewellery added another layer of glamour without competing with the architectural details of the dress.
This is another look where construction and fit are everything. A corseted bodice has to sit securely and comfortably, the waist needs to hit in precisely the right place, and the proportions of the skirt and train need to work with the wearer’s height and shape.
Oscar Isaac
Isaac’s Emmy look was an excellent example of how impeccable tailoring can make a relatively simple outfit feel incredibly sophisticated.
He wore a white double-breasted jacket with black trousers, a crisp white shirt and a matching white cummerbund, finished with an Audemars Piguet watch.
The double-breasted construction gives the jacket structure, while the slightly elongated proportions keep it from feeling like a conventional dinner jacket. It’s the kind of outfit that feels expensive without looking like it’s trying too hard.
This is exactly why tailoring matters. A suit can be made from the best fabric and come from the most prestigious designer, but if the proportions aren’t right for the person wearing it, something will always feel slightly off. A perfectly adjusted shoulder, sleeve, trouser break or jacket length can completely change the finished look.
Chase Infiniti
Chase Infiniti made a stunning entrance in a copper-toned, beaded Louis Vuitton gown, created in collaboration with her stylists, Wayman + Micah, and the fashion house.
The rich copper colour was a particularly memorable choice. Infiniti has spoken about always wanting to wear a “coppertone color,” and the result was every bit as striking as you’d expect. The intricate beading caught the light beautifully, giving the gown an almost liquid quality as she moved.
Charles Melton
Charles Melton’s outfit is proof that classic never goes out of style. He kept things classic in a suave tuxedo styled by Samantha McMillen.
While there was plenty of experimentation happening on the red carpet, this look proved that sometimes the best approach really is to go back to basics. The black-tie uniform doesn’t have to be boring. In fact, when the fit, fabric, proportions and styling are all right, a classic tuxedo can be one of the most powerful looks on the carpet.

Sarah Pidgeon
Sarah Pidgeon opted for a pale purple silk Chanel gown featuring pearl-spangled straps and an intricate tangle of chains.
But the most interesting part of this look was the inspiration behind it. The slip-dress silhouette echoed the iconic wedding dress worn by Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy for her 1996 wedding to John F. Kennedy Jr who Pidgeon portrays in Ryan Murphy’s Love Story.
The simplicity of the slip silhouette also demonstrates how much impact can come from getting the proportions exactly right. With a relatively pared-back dress, there is nowhere for an imperfect fit to hide. The neckline, straps, waist and hem all need to sit exactly where they should.
Riz Ahmed
Riz Ahmed took the custom route in a Loewe look designed by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez.
There’s something particularly special about custom red-carpet dressing. Ahmed’s look was anything but predictable, and highlights why tailoring remains such a powerful part of formalwear. His evening came with another major perk: Ahmed was reportedly gifted one of Tom Cruise’s famous coconut cakes.
We can’t confirm whether the cake was as impressive as the suit, but it’s certainly a memorable Emmy experience.
